In this transformation of a sprawling 14,233 square foot landscape, we envisioned and crafted a captivating outdoor sanctuary that seamlessly merges elegance with functionality, setting a benchmark for open-air entertainment.

This landscape project began with a strategic pool relocation, respecting property line regulations to expand the leisure and entertainment zone. Adjacent to the backdoor, a sheltered, custom-built kitchen and cozy seating area provide refuge, shielded from insects and midday sun by a drop-down screen.

At the heart of this Elmhurst backyard, an 18'x36' pool takes center stage, framed by an 18-inch masonry wall adorned with artful LED lighting accents. Behind this backdrop, a hedge of ever-blooming hydrangeas and meticulously trained European hornbeams infuses the space with timeless sophistication.

The pool deck boasts a resilient 5-inch rebar-reinforced concrete overlay, featuring a striking pattern of Valders Dove White and gray bluestone tiles in an elegant herringbone design. To address stormwater retention, the large drywell behind the pool was repurposed as the base for a putting green, surrounded by permeable gravel and stone coping. Landscape lighting ensures enchantment day or night.

To eliminate enclosure and distinguish the detached garage driveway, an impressive outdoor fireplace and wall were crafted. This inviting space incorporates an outdoor TV and a state-of-the-art speaker system. A pergola, skillfully constructed from substantial steel I-beams and rich cedar, offers a haven from the summer sun.

For visual continuity, the hydrangea hedge extends along the entire property length, ensuring a cohesive aesthetic impact.

The frontage is equally stunning. A heated concrete driveway provides a grand entrance. The front porch and walkway feature heated, randomly patterned bluestone. Garden walls encircle the front yard, featuring water scuppers and a pondless waterfall system.

Both front and rear areas are adorned with thoughtfully designed planting beds and containers, adapting seasonally for a dynamic landscape year-round.

Formal, columnar trees harmonize with the property's architecture. Crushed blue granite gravel maintains a polished, low-maintenance aesthetic.
