Crafting Elegance & Usability: A Backyard Revival Story

We're no strangers to the fun of breathing new life into outdoor spaces. Our latest project is a testament to this passion, where we've taken a young family's backyard from outdated to beautifully functional.

The Challenge: Our clients faced a common dilemma—a raised deck with enclosing railing that hindered the flow and accessibility of their yard, making it less conducive for their children to play and explore. The towering overgrown shrubs further contributed to a space that felt cut off from its potential.

The Vision: Our clients described a classic, traditional space that didn't sacrifice elegance for usability. They desired a design that would allow them to entertain, relax, and watch their children create their own adventures—all within the comfort of their own backyard.

Our Solution: With their vision in mind, we designed a bluestone blue select and natural cleft patio that serves as the heart of this transformation. A dining area awaits family meals under the stars, while a future outdoor kitchen area is delineated for a future addition. At the center lies a firepit with a specialized burner, a pro series brass burner, which extends seasonal use, emulating the rustic charm of a wood-burning fire, surrounded by a welcoming seat wall.

The Additions: We removed the overgrown shrubs, making way for flowering beauties, perennial grasses, and the seasonal color of carefully chosen plants—each contributing to a picturesque scene that not only enhances beauty but discreetly screens the practical necessities like a septic tank.

Landscape Lighting: Safety and evening enjoyment are enhanced by the addition of low voltage landscape lighting which was added to the seat wall, fire pit area and along the steps to the home.

Looking Ahead: As we approach the project's completion next week, we are excited to share the culmination of beauty and functionality.
