Creating an Inviting Exterior for a Renovated Barn in Barrington Hills

Our team was thrilled to collaborate on a unique project in Barrington Hills, where the client had recently transformed their barn into a lively party venue. To complement this exciting interior renovation, we crafted an equally stunning exterior landscape design that blends functionality, beauty, and natural charm.

The project features a large stone wall and walkway, seamlessly integrating night lighting to ensure the barn’s exterior shines, even after the sun sets. Our planting design included carefully selected shrubs and perennials to enhance the barn’s rustic feel. One standout detail is the ivy, meticulously attached to grow along the silo, which will only become more enchanting as it flourishes over time.

However, the true highlight of the landscape is the handcrafted fire pit area. The oversized fire pit is framed by an arbor made from reclaimed timbers, a nod to the barn’s historic roots. Wisteria vines climb gracefully up the poles of the arbor, blooming in the summer and adding a touch of romance to the space. The fire pit itself is constructed with natural stone and blue chip stone, creating a cozy, inviting area for gatherings.
