A Timeless Outdoor Room Designed for Living

This 30' x 30' outdoor room brings together all the comforts of home with the best of outdoor living. Covered with a metal roof and designed with both function and style in mind, the space is equal parts kitchen, dining room, and lounge. Our clients goal was a backyard space that could comfortably be used for entertaining larger groups but also feel cozy and relaxing on a daily basis.

A Kitchen Made for Entertaining

The outdoor kitchen was designed with everything in mind: a built-in grill, refrigerator, trash pullout, and a vent hood that makes it as practical as it is beautiful. The stone bar gives plenty of space for guests to gather, while natural materials tie the kitchen back to the architecture of the home.

Dining and Lounge Spaces

Dimmable lighting, ceiling fans, and two infrared heaters keep the space comfortable from spring through fall. A 4' x 8' gas fire pit anchors the open patio, perfect for larger gatherings. Within the space, multiple areas were built into the space plan, defining specific usage. You’ll note the casual seating area, a dining table, a firepit area and bar seating along the kitchen space.

Blending Form and Function

Every finish was chosen with care. All vertical masonry was matched to the house for a seamless connection between indoors and out. Bluestone coping and treads give crisp definition to the hardscape, while warm-toned pavers and a stained wood ceiling soften the look and create an inviting atmosphere. Privacy planting and low-maintenance gravel walkways complete the picture.

Designed to Last

While the hot tub is already in place, the plan also leaves room for a future sauna and cold plunge. This layered approach ensures the backyard will continue to evolve with the family’s lifestyle.
